Since 2012, John has been teaching people the sensual bliss of re-connecting with their bodies through Tantrik practices. He is excited to be able to share the practice of Lu Jong in the lineage of Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche as part of that teaching.
After practicing Tai Chi, Hatha Yoga, and other movement practices, John feels an authentic connection to Lu Jong and Tog Chöd and has personally realized physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits from his own practice. He is grateful to Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche as well as Farrah Garan, and Tracy Roman, two of Rinpoche's most senior students and teachers, for teaching him Lu Jong and Tog Chöd, and for making Tantrayana practices more widely available. In additional to Lu Jong, John has also learned the Tummo and Bliss meditation practices from Rinpoche. John took refuge with Tulku Lobsang in May 2019, he has also received the Manjushri practice initiation from His Holiness the Sakya Trizen.
John's other Tantrik practices include the Kashmiri Shaiva Tantra of The Recognition Sutras as translated and taught by Christopher Wallis. He has also received training from Charles Muir and Laurie Handlers.
As one of only 13 certified Lu Jong and one of only 6 Tog Chöd teachers in North America, and the only teacher in Colorado, John is excited to be able to share Rinpoche's teachings in Tantrayana practices in the western US . He currently teaches classes and workshops in Denver.
